Reflection on Planning Tips:

A good planning is essential to success. The ideas on the web remind teachers what the directions and focuses are, such as time, computer and internet access, communications, student intertaction. From my past experience, I found that the time management could be a very difficult task for teachers since students have different progress in terms of various langauge proficiency and computer knowledge. From the "computer knowledge" perspective, it's a good idea to have a first time hand on training. It could also be done in group/ team teaching as it could encourage interaction and narrow the I.T. gap among students. Teachers can check and understand more about their I.T. levels so that teachers can make adjustment/ modifications on the teaching plans. For another point on "assessment", I think it is necessary so that students are "motivated"/ "forced" to have more active participation. However, the students must be told about that and the criteria should be clear and easy to understand. (Frank Ip)
